My Contributions
- Developed VR Puzzle Platformer - Built core gameplay systems for a VR physics-based puzzle platformer using Unity.
- Integrated 4-DoF Motion Platform - Made the game with a four-degree-of-freedom (4-DoF) motion platform.
- Engine Exploration - Researched and tested both Unity and Unreal Engine with the 4-DoF to help inform engine decision.
- Player Movement System - Created a hamster ball-style movement system, combining hardware like the Thrustmaster Joystick, SteamVR controller, and 4-DoF inputs.

- Input Conflicts - Fixed compatibility issues between multiple joystick inputs (Thrustmaster & SteamVR controllers) by modifying Unity’s input system.
- Safety & Mechanical Considerations - Designed preventative safety measures for the 4-DoF, including movement limits and emergency stop protocols.

- Wrote Documentation - Created step-by-step setup guides for future teams working with the 4-DoF.
- XML Code Documentation - Documented code using XML documentation, and used Doxygen to export the documentation to a website.

- Maintained Professional Development Standards - Implemented professional workflows, like pull requests, and code reviews.
- Assisted Cross-Disciplinary Teams - Gave tech support to artists and designers.
- Production & Team Leadership - Took on project management responsibilities, working with Jira, running sprint planning and asset tracking.

- Playtesting & Iterative Improvements - Did dozens of internal and external playtests, refining movement to prevent VR motion sickness.
- Some of our external playtests were with developers from Meta, Larian Studios and Happy Finish. We got valuable insights and feedback.
- Project Showcased at Events - We showcased Orb Odyssey at the Graduate Showcase.

- Engagement - Promoted Orb Odyssey online, gaining 5,000+ impressions and engagement from industry professionals.
