I contributed to hardware integration, player movement, core gameplay mechanics, and project management, whilst also leading documentation, playtesting and industry outreach.

My Contributions

Developed VR Puzzle Platformer - Built core gameplay systems for a VR physics-based puzzle platformer using Unity.
Integrated 4-DoF Motion Platform - Made the game with a four-degree-of-freedom (4-DoF) motion platform.
Engine Exploration - Researched and tested both Unity and Unreal Engine with the 4-DoF to help inform engine decision.

Player Movement System - Created a hamster ball-style movement system, combining hardware like the Thrustmaster Joystick, SteamVR controller, and 4-DoF inputs.

Orb Odyssey Hardware

Input Conflicts - Fixed compatibility issues between multiple joystick inputs (Thrustmaster & SteamVR controllers) by modifying Unity’s input system.
Safety & Mechanical Considerations - Designed preventative safety measures for the 4-DoF, including movement limits and emergency stop protocols.
