I worked as an intern doing gameplay programming for an Unannounced Triple-A MMORPG in pre-production.

My Contributions

Developed gameplay mechanics using C++ in Unreal Engine
Implemented networking and replication for multiplayer functionality
Learned and applied Unreal Engine macros, overcoming initial challenges with C++
Gained experience working with delegates and interfaces
Used Perforce for source control & Swarm for code reviews

Gameplay Features Implemented

Player Name System Players can set custom usernames that display above their characters for all players
Player & Enemy Respawning Implemented timed respawn mechanics for both players and enemies
XP & Leveling System Designed an experience points system where players level up after accumulating XP
Debug Commands Developed debugging tools to assist in playtesting and game testing workflows
